Today was the first day of Spring - We woke up this morning to a snow storm that dropped enough snow to cover the ground and the trees. Go figure. On my way to a job in New Brunswick traffic was backed up on Rt 18 going into New Brunswick (construction and traffic is God awful there). So I cut through East Brunswick to get to Ryders Lane and was driving by Rutgers' Gardens - Spring? Snow? Time for a weather roamer! So I went into the gardens to find budding trees - success! I found a row of Cornus mas, more commonly know as the Corneliancherry Dogwood. I was suprised to find it here in NJ because it's a species of Europe and W. Asia... who knew?
For those of you who are really impressed with my wealth of knowledge...don't be, I also shot the sign on the damn tree.
